Beginning of Kitchen Renovations....

Happy New Year!

Have I mentioned that I've got the sweetest husband in the world? Boy, oh boy does that man take care of me! It's no secret that I've commented several times that I want to live in a younger neighborhood (I love our house, I just wish the neighborhood had a younger crowd). Well Jordan and I have looked and looked, but we haven't found the house for us yet. So, I told Jordan that I would be willing to stay in Kingsley (even for our first future child) until we find a house that suits us. However, I wanted different kitchen counter tops. Well, to be honest with you, I never though the man would agree to it..........but, guess what?! He DID!!!! Woo-hoo!!!! That's right, Jordan is redoing our kitchen countertops, and I am SO excited!

Our granite tiles and backsplash are on order, so we are in the middle of renovating. However I have taken pictures of what he is doing in the mean time.

Here are pictures of our old countertops. No more hideous white countertops for me! I personally did not like our white countertops. Everything showed up on them, and they just looked blah. Yuck. By the way, excuse the mess! I was going to take pictures of the old countertops, before he ripped them off....but he got to it before I could take pictures. I was able to get a few pictures before he tore all of them off, but he had moved some stuff...so that's why we have a lot of crud on our counters.

Jordan now has all the countertops ripped off and this is what the stove looks like.

Yesterday Jordan surprised me when I got home from work. He went out and bought me a new kitchen sink and faucet! Both are beautiful! The old sink was a stainless steel, and we just replaced it with a new one (so you might not notice a difference). Our old sink was 7 inches deep and the new one is 8 inches deep. What a difference one inch makes. Yes, the sink has just been installed and is sitting crooked for now, but oh well! Let it be known, that my honey treats me well! Jordan spoils me so! :)

Last but not least, I took MORE photos of my pups. I know, I'm turning into a nutball (I'll be the first to admit it). But hey, I don't have any little ones of my own yet. So for now, these two are my hairy "children". (One is sleeping on my lap as I type out this post. Can you guess which one it is? I'll give you a hint, it is not the 60 pounder!)
