Lizzie- 10 Months Old

It has been awhile since I've posted, and today is actually Lizzie's 11-month birthday- so yes, I'm a month behind on the blogging. Ooops!

On Lizzie's 10-month birthday, we took her to the "Got-to-Be NC" fair at the NC State Fairgrounds. There was a petting zoo there. Let me just say, we went during the middle of the day (between Lizzie's two naps), and it was around 90 degrees or so and the humidity was high. The petting zoo was under a tent, along with all of the visitors with little kids. So it was a tad warm, and there was not much of a breeze to speak of. You were not allowed to go inside the fenced in area with the animals. All visitors had to remain outside the fence and try to get the animals to come to you. Luckily, some woman was selling carrots and so we bought some carrots from her to try and persuade the animals to come to us.

Lizzie was more excited about the bag of carrots than the animals at first.

Here she's saying, "Oooooh, Momma! Whatcha got?"

Trying to convince one of the goats to stick his head out through the fence hole.

"Here Mr. Goat"

I love Lizzie's face in this one. She isn't really sure what to think about this goat, who gobbled down the food so fast that Lizzie had barely enough time to touch him.

Hanging out with Daddy, and watching all of the animals inside the cage.

A cow.

A camel. We never got to pet the camel, but we did see them.

Once we got back from the fairgrounds, and after a nap- I decided to take Lizzie's 10-month photo. I printed off the monthly sign, propped her up on the couch, and tried to take a photo of her holding the sign- but all she wanted to do was eat the sign!

So here is my attempt at trying to get Lizzie to hold a sign, so we can all see she is 10-months old.

Eventually we wound up on the floor, because she wouldn't sit still on the couch.

Got bored with the sign, so she decided to play with one of her toys.

The next morning, Lizzie helped me feed the puppies (Tina and Presley). We feed them outside, so she doesn't get into their food. She likes to sit by the backdoor and watch them eat.

She saw me taking pictures of her, so now she wants the camera.
Getting ready to go on our morning walk.

Laughing at Tina play with Daddy's feet.

Starting to pull herself up.

One day, I bought some finger paint for Lizzie to try. Here are a few photos of her first finger painting.

We had to get her naked (well except for the diaper).

She only played with the paint for a few seconds. She's really not into getting her hands all that dirty. Mommy is going to work on that!

She wasn't too thrilled about finger painting, so to try and encourage her to paint- we painted her!

Lizzie might not be a fan of painting, but she IS a fan of swimming! She LOVES water! She is our little fish. Here we are at my parents' neighborhood pool. I will do another post about our day at my parents' pool in a moment.

Lizzie loves to stand.

She is an awesome crawler! The girl can really move!

She also loves to open and shut doors. We have to watch her fingers, because every once in awhile she will get them caught in the door.

Watching her puppies again!

And like I said before, once she sees the camera- she instantly wants to see the camera. Here is an up close and personal shot of Lizzie.

More updates to come!
